12/20/2023 0 Comments Subnautica below zero sea monkey gifts![]() ![]() Yes, it’s a sprawling sea, but each area is subtly different in design. That kind of freeing approach is applied to most of the game, even in reducing frustration in exploration. The focus is instead applied to letting you explore on your own and build exactly what you want. Just wish the Sea Monkeys had a light attack or defense for themselves against the big predators, because then they would be the perfect base mascots. In Below Zero, everything is working as it should from the outset. I always feel bad about putting any fish in there just to keep the lights on. Just bring some seeds to grow food/water and you'll have food and material for your bioreactors. That alone makes it viable to build deep, and not have to ferry several storage compartments back and forth. I was building a small outpost about 400m down and quickly ran out of titanium and those industrious little critters helped me finish it, and even had enough surplus to build a scanner room and moonpool. And if you hang around them long enough, they'll routinely find and harvest the most common materials in the area for you. If you come across their nests, I've found some of them to have a dozen bits of materials in them, in addition to the technology fragments (ultra-cap air tank thank you!). sorry but true Subnauticans don't use a map whatsoever. Once you have it installed do some exploring and you'll have a much better idea of how the Basin is laid out (then uninstall it because real Subnauticans don't use maps). ![]() The story dialog kinda explains just enough of why? The Basin is the one and only reason why I installed the Below Zero Map mod from Nexus. Just keep playing further into the story, and you will eventually stumble across a nesting ground with several of them, and they do treat you differently like others here have said, and they actually help you by gifting goodies to you. EDIT:its an extremely difficult dive because you need to utilize 2 oxygen plants and navigate through the. maybe it hatched and the baby monkey is actually that one? Which leads me to another question, do sea monkey eggs hatch in the wild when there are other sea monkeys around? I thought the eggs are like objects in the game and wild creatures aren't actually laying them.ģ) Is this just something they do when they are near a sea monkey next? I've had sea monkeys in the fabricator caverns for weeks now and they are STILL holding onto their weapons. They are now in my personal category of cute, friendly, and very helpful creatures to build bases close to and here's why. On the first mission where you are supposed to go to the supply drop underneath there is a cave system.on the deepest depth its a monkey nest with the blueprint inside(you need to scan it)I dont even have the high capacity tank unlocked yet and just made the regular one.thats weird. There was/has always been a sea monkey egg in that next (i just like how it looks so i leave it there) and I noticed the egg is gone. ![]() Maybe that sea monkey grew up and this one is just a hatchling? I noticed something strange. Anyway, I slept (in game) and the next day this sea monkey is still a new bornĮdit: I could be wrong. I found all the items INSIDE the next.Ģ) I put a baby sea monkey at this location (I thought creatures get full size when you drop them from containment into the ocean but I could be wrong). I armed them and swam away for a little bit and came back and they were all disarmed. I noticed a few weird things about sea monkeys at this location (ones tha tyou breed and put there, not ones naturally there)ġ) They don't hold onto their toys. These mischievous creatures can be found in abundance around the many Kelp Forests on the map, and when you first encounter them, they'll often attempt to steal Robin's tools. I usually arm them with propulsion cannons as they look very cool holding them and the tip always glows bright even when the battery dies (same with flashlights, the light will die but the lense will still glow bright)Īnyway, I recently made a base in that sea monkey gave (the one with the tiny volcano/heat source in it). Below Zero: Getting Gifts From A Sea Monkey Sea Monkeys were among the many unique faunas added to Below Zero. ![]()
